Style of this winter: Glam Punk

This winter basically everything is ok when it comes to fashion. Most important this winter, good basics and lots of accessories. A big trend I love this winter is Glam Punk. With Glam Punk you need to think of lots of studs, lots of big bracelets, feathers and leather. In Glam Punk it's about basics with a touch, a look perfectly defined with details. The feeling that comes with Glam Punk is an independent, strong but elegant women who is ready to rule the world (or her own city). Glam Punk is a trend inspired by the good old rockers and punkers.

Colors I love to use in Glam Punk are: black, white, grey but also pastel pink or a sand color. The pink makes your outfit a little more girly and not so black and white, this is the same for a sand color. It makes your outfit a little less dramatic.

Materials used by the Glam Punk trend are: leather, shiny fabrics, feathers, sequin, zippers and clothes with croco of snake detail and don't forget the basics from common materials.

Accessories: accessories used in the Glam Punk trend are big bags or clutches with a punky or rock and roll look. One rule of the bag is that it should be a real "eye catcher". Not a normal clutch but one with a real glam punk detail. Other accessories are rings and lots of bracelets. Especially the chain bracelet is a must-have in Glam Punk.

Shoes: Shoes are the other eye catchers of your Glam Punk outfit. High heels with studs in the colors black or grey are good choices. Think: Gladiator Heel. Other good winter variants are the high heeled boots that come over the knee, in black leather of suede. If you don't want to walk on high heels get a pair of normal over the knee boots.

Make-up & Beauty: In Glam Punk paint your nails into one of these colors: grey, black, red or white. Real "Glam-Punkers" can go for black smokey eyes, for the ones who think that is too much just can go easy on the eyes. Just use mascara and maybe some eyeliner. For the lips use a lip gloss for a sexy and elegant look.

Glam Punk is a great trend for the winter of 2009/2010. But it is also a heavy trend with a lot going on. That is why for some people Glam Punk may be to much. If you don't like to dress up totally in Glam Punk, just wear a part of it starting with a Glam Punk bag or clutch, or other accessories used in Glam Punk.
